The tagline for my film: "What happens when food consumes you."

My treatment:
I want my film to start with noises. Possibly gagging noises. It going to go into 3 different interviews intertwined with one another (2 girls one boy). They're all going to separately share their experiences of having an eating disorder. Everyone's experience is so different and as a film maker i want to expose this disease that isn't talked about. I want to explore how this disease affected three very different people in similar ways, and ways the disease was unique to them. I plan to have visuals of them talking about their experience and capture the raw emotions, as well as have beginning and end of the film end with only audio. I have pictures of the victims in treatment i plan to show while having an audio voiceover.

Expository documentary style: Creating a documentary in this style allows for many opportunities. For example you can speak to the viewer and guide them with questions, or let them talk without prompting. In "It's a Girl", We see elements of voice over with accompanying imagery, natural dialogue, prompted questions, and raw emotion from the subject as well as the filmmaker. I want to include all of these elements in my film because I don't want the answers and statements from the subject to be forced. I want to capture imagery with vague promoted questions, but let the subject answer how they would like.
